About the Journal

Planning Malaysia: Journal of the Malaysian Institute of Planners is an international, peer-reviewed and open-access scholarly journal published by the Malaysian Institute of Planners. The journal advances knowledge and practice in urban and regional planning, spatial planning, the built environment, housing, transport, infrastructure, property and real estate, environmental planning, urban design, heritage, tourism planning, construction and facilities management, and related interdisciplinary fields. It publishes methodologically sound and ethically conducted work that makes a clear theoretical, empirical, methodological, policy or professional contribution. Studies focused on Malaysia or another specific locality are welcome when their relevance, transferability or contribution to the wider literature is clearly explained.
